ReadyNest Privacy Policy

ReadyNest is a service operated by Open Meadow and is designed to help users generate and manage baby registry-related content and recommendations, including content generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence ("AI").

For purposes of applicable data protection laws, the data controller or business responsible for your personal information is:

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect:

• through the Service;
• in email, text, and other electronic communications sent through or in connection with the Service; and
• when you sign up for updates, create an account, submit information, or otherwise interact with us.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by third parties that may link to or be accessible from the Service, including third-party retailers, affiliate partners, payment processors, analytics providers, or other external websites and services. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and practices, and we are not responsible for them.

A. Information You Provide Directly

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

• name;
• email address;
• account login details, if applicable;
• information you enter into forms, questionnaires, surveys, or profile fields;
• baby registry preferences, household preferences, product preferences, budget information, due date information, or other information you choose to provide; and
• communications you send to us, including support requests, feedback, and emails.

B. AI Input and Generated Content

Because ReadyNest uses AI to help generate registry suggestions, recommendations, summaries, and related content, we may collect and process:

• the prompts, answers, and other inputs you provide to the Service;
• the outputs generated for you by the Service; and
• feedback you provide about generated outputs.

AI features in ReadyNest may be powered by third-party AI service providers. Inputs you provide may be processed by those providers in accordance with their applicable policies and contractual terms with us. We do not knowingly share your private registry content with other users.

C. Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Service, we or our service providers may automatically collect certain information, such as:

• IP address;
• browser type and version;
• device type, operating system, and settings;
• referring URLs;
• pages viewed, clicks, interactions, and session activity;
• date and time of access;
• approximate location derived from IP address; and
• cookie identifiers and similar online identifiers.

D. Analytics Tools

We use PostHog, a third-party product analytics service, to understand how the Service is used and to improve it over time. PostHog may collect information such as which features you interact with, which screens you visit, actions you take (such as generating a registry or copying a share link), and general session activity. This data is collected in an aggregated or pseudonymous form and is not used to identify you personally or to serve you advertisements.

PostHog is configured to limit profile creation to users who have signed in to an account. Anonymous visitors are not profiled individually. For more information about PostHog's data practices, see posthog.com/privacy.

E. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, SDKs, and similar technologies to:

• keep you signed in;
• remember your preferences;
• analyze usage and improve the Service;
• measure traffic and performance;
• support affiliate link tracking and attribution; and
• maintain security and prevent fraud.

F. Baby Fund and Gift Pledges

The Service may include an optional "Baby Fund" feature that lets gift-givers record a promissory pledge of a cash gift. If you use this feature, we may collect the name and optional pledge amount a gift-giver chooses to enter. These pledges are non-binding promises only. ReadyNest does not process payments, collect funds, or facilitate any money transfer. Any actual transfer of money happens directly between the gift-giver and the expectant parent, outside of the Service, using a payment method the parent chooses.

An expectant parent may choose to upload an image — such as a Venmo QR code — to display on their registry so gift-givers can send a gift directly. This image is stored as part of the registry and is shown publicly to anyone with the registry link. Please upload only an image you are comfortable sharing publicly, and do not include sensitive financial account credentials. We do not store payment card numbers, bank account details, or login credentials for any payment service.

We may use your information for the following purposes:

• to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
• to create, generate, personalize, and deliver AI-assisted content and recommendations;
• to create and manage your account, if applicable;
• to send service-related communications, including confirmations, updates, support messages, and administrative notices;
• to respond to your inquiries, requests, or customer service issues;
• to understand how users interact with the Service and improve user experience, features, and functionality;
• to monitor, troubleshoot, and protect the security and integrity of the Service;
• to detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or other unlawful activity;
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms, policies, and rights; and
• to send marketing or promotional communications where permitted by law and subject to your choices.

ReadyNest uses artificial intelligence and related technologies to generate personalized registry-related content and recommendations based on the information you provide.

By using the Service, you understand and agree that:

• information you submit may be processed by AI systems and service providers acting on our behalf;
• AI-generated outputs may be based on patterns in data and may not always be complete, accurate, or suitable for every situation; and
• you are responsible for reviewing generated content before relying on it.

We may use your inputs and outputs to operate, improve, debug, monitor, and refine the Service, subject to our contractual arrangements with service providers and applicable law.

Some links, product recommendations, or retailer references presented through the Service may be affiliate links. This means that if you click certain links or make a purchase through them, we may earn a commission or other compensation at no additional cost to you.

When you interact with affiliate links, third parties may collect information about your clicks, purchases, device, and browsing activity according to their own privacy policies and tracking technologies. We do not control those third parties' privacy practices.

Our use of affiliate links does not change the price you pay unless explicitly stated otherwise.

A. Service Providers

We may share information with vendors, contractors, consultants, and other service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:

• hosting providers;
• cloud or database providers;
• AI model or AI infrastructure providers;
• analytics providers;
• authentication providers;
• email delivery providers;
• payment processors, if used;
• customer support tools; and
• security providers.

These parties are permitted to use your information only as needed to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law.

B. Affiliate and Retail Partners

When you click or engage with affiliate or retailer links, information may be shared with or collected by those third parties to enable tracking, attribution, and related commercial functions.

C. Business Transfers

We may disclose or transfer information as part of any merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, reorganization, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.

D. Legal Compliance and Protection

We may disclose information if we believe doing so is necessary or appropriate to:

• comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
• enforce our agreements and policies;
• protect the rights, property, safety, and security of ReadyNest, our users, or others; or
• detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

E. With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent.

We do not sell personal information for money in the traditional sense.

However, depending on how the Service is configured and how applicable law defines "sell," "share," "targeted advertising," or similar terms, certain data practices involving cookies, analytics, affiliate tools, or third-party integrations may be considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state privacy laws.

If and to the extent required by applicable law, we will provide users with any required notice and a method to exercise applicable opt-out rights.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

• provide the Service;
• maintain your account;
• generate and store your content;
• comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations;
• resolve disputes; and
• enforce our agreements.

The specific retention period for any category of information depends on the nature of the information, why it was collected, and applicable legal or operational requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the internet and no electronic storage system is completely secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

ReadyNest is intended for adults, including expectant parents, caregivers, and gift-givers. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally required consent, we will take steps to delete that information as required by applicable law.

A. Account Information

You may be able to access, update, or delete certain account information by logging into your account or contacting us through Open Meadow.

B. Marketing Emails

You may opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those emails. Even if you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send you non-promotional messages, such as account, service, security, or transaction-related communications.

C. Cookies

Most browsers allow you to remove or reject cookies. Please note that blocking cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

D. AI Inputs

Please do not submit sensitive personal information or any information you do not want processed by AI systems unless and until the Service expressly requests and is designed to handle that information.

Depending on your state of residence and subject to applicable legal thresholds, exemptions, and verification requirements, you may have the right to:

• know whether we process your personal information;
• access personal information we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate personal information;
• delete personal information;
• obtain a copy of certain personal information in a portable format; and
• opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling activities, where applicable.

We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available under applicable law.

Some browsers and extensions allow users to send "Do Not Track" or other privacy preference signals.

Because standards and legal obligations regarding these signals can vary, we may not respond to all such signals unless required by applicable law. Where applicable law requires recognition of a valid opt-out preference signal, we will process such signals in accordance with that law.

ReadyNest is based in the United States and is intended primarily for users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

Those countries may not provide the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, retailers, platforms, tools, and services. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of those third parties. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the revised version here and update the "Effective Date" or "Last Updated" date above. If required by law, we will provide additional notice.

Your continued use of the Service after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
